This hotel stands in the heart of Chester city centre, with Chester Castle, Chester Cathedral and the Roman built walls all within a short stroll. This hotel offers an indoor pool. On Monday after breakfast, we travel to the village of Llanberis, which sits on the southern bank of Lake Padarn and the foot of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. From here we will board the Snowdon Mountain Railway (fare included) for a return journey to the summit and visitor centre, admiring the fantastic views over the scenic valley. We will then make our journey home.

On Saturday look forward to a blooming good day out at the RHS Hampton Court flower show (admission included) this is held in the grounds of the magnificent Hampton Court Palace. RHS Hampton Court Flower Show is the world's biggest annual flower show, overflowing with ideas you can take home and use in your own garden! Browse through the hundreds of trade stands, and indulge in the delicious food and drink stalls. We will leave for our return journey home late afternoon.

Newcastle boasts brilliant shopping opportunities from the Eldon Square Shopping Centre as well as the nearby complex of Gateshead Metro Centre. You will have the chance to join us for a day excursion to Alnwick during your stay which is known for it's castle and gardens. On our final day we will visit Durham, named one of Britain's eight most beautiful cities. Best known for being the birthplace of the poet and playwright William Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. On arrival enjoy an included cruise on the River Avon, which includes commentary, whilst enjoying tea and biscuits. We then check in to our accommodation for 2 nights at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (4 Star) including dinner, bed and breakfast. This lovely riverside hotel amid landscaped gardens is perfect for our stay, just a short walk from the town centre. Saturday, you are free to explore all the places that Stratford is famous for at your leisure. We depart after breakfast and make our way to The National Memorial Arboretum, a British site of national remembrance. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and monuments created to form a living tribute to service men and women, where at 11am each day an act of remembrance takes place, a 2 minute silence followed by the last post and Reveille. We will then carry on with our return journey home.

We then travel onto Blackburn to Our overnight accommodation at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa (4 Star) with dinner, bed and breakfast. Monday we travel to Settle to join the famous line which will carry us all the way to Carlisle. Agreed to be one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the country, the line tracks the sparkling River Ribble, through the narrow, wooded valley and up onto the wide, high moors. We travel across the famous 24- arch Ribblehead Viaduct, over Dent Head Viaduct, along Garsdale, over the Moorcock Viaduct, and through Appleby before reaching Carlisle. We then make our way through the Lake District to Crosthwaite near Kendal to stay 1 night at the Damson Dene Hotel (4 Star) with dinner bed & breakfast. This hotel is situated in the Lyth Valley less than a mile to Lake Windermere. Tuesday visit Lake Windermere the perfect Lakeland destination all year round.
